About Me, Your Facilitator

I’m Inna Yulman, a NYC-based counselor with a Master’s in Psychology from Harvard University and advanced clinical training in mental health counseling. I specialize in helping individuals and couples navigate relationship challenges, from dating and communication issues to long-term partnership dynamics, with helping people navigate divorce and separation being a significant part of my work.

My approach draws from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), strength-based counseling, and somatic practices. Clients often describe my style as warm, direct, and grounding. I aim to create a space where people can be honest, feel supported, and make meaningful sense of what they’re going through.

I’ve facilitated multiple divorce and separation support groups, and my work is also shaped by my own lived experience navigating divorce, co-parenting, and rebuilding my life. I understand how destabilizing these transitions can feel, and I help clients regain themselves, resilience, and a renewed sense of self.

I was in a dark place when I called Inna about the separation and divorce group - my wife had recently moved out and  shortly after starting the group we filed for divorce.

I found much needed community in Inna’s groups - people who saw what I was going through and helped me climb out of one of the lowest points in my life. People who knew the right thing to say so I felt heard and understood. Inna does a magnificent job guiding the group so we are each encouraged to think in new ways about our situations and share our thoughts and emotions in a supportive space.

Inna was terrific! She provided just the right amount of guidance, therapy and coaching to the members of our group. I would highly recommend her sessions to anyone looking to work through a challenge or problem.

I joined Inna’s separation and divorce support group, which ended up being something I didn’t know I needed. Each week, a small group of us from totally different backgrounds came together to share our ups and downs, our hard days and small wins.

Inna guided the conversations in a way that felt natural and deeply respectful. She made room for all the emotions - grief, anger, confusion, even moments of laughter, and helped us all feel seen.
